During high school we were both apart of an Acapella group that toured around middle Tennessee and the Tullahoma Aristocats Showchoir. It was fun to catch back up and sing together after so many years.
Throughout my singing career starting in elementary school to middle school to high school show choir to a college major(college basketball and baseball games), and minor league baseball games (The Diablos and The Riverdogs) the National Anthem has been the one song that has seemed to follow me around. I absolutely love singing it.
The only difference between this performance and all the other performances was trying to hit high notes while a little someone in my tummy was squirming around. However I think I handled it ok.
After the ceremony, Vince gave my mom and I the "dime" tour around the facility and even let us touch the only space shuttle external tank left in the U.S.! Pretty cool. Seeing and walking around just part of the facility made me appreciate all the hard work he does on a daily basis and how proud I am of him. He works so hard for me and our family and doesn't seem to get quite enough credit for it. I now understand why he comes home so exhausted and falls into the couch for a nap most afternoons. Baby and I love you and thank you for all you do for us!
Here are a few pictures and VIDEO of the awesome morning at MAF.
