This past weekend wasn't extremely eventful...or was it? Friday night my husband and I enjoyed a bottle of wine on the front porch and relaxed among the awesome weather. And then this happened....you may notice that this is a lovely little ceramic fire pot that burns ethanol. After a few hours of burning, it was time to pour more ethanol in....and then my husband set his face on fire! I looked up at him and his entire face from his nose all the way up to his hair line was on fire!! Yelling and screaming I waved around not knowing what to do and realizing he had no idea his face was on fire he suddenly grabbed his hoodie that he was wearing and smothered his face. By this time I'm a nervous wreck jumping up and down worried he had scorched his face. Fortunately, he was ok and only singed a slight area of his hair line. We are now looking for a hairspray that is mon flammable?
After that the weekend was pretty subtle until. I decided I was way overdue for an oil change. I will never do this again on my own. $270 later I was driving home to a very unhappy husband feeling ashamed and taken advantage of. How did I let this happen? Good thing I was able to hydrate with my new Camelbak!
Sunday morning we woke up at a decent time and headed to Mass. Church always makes me feel better! After Mass we did breakfast at the Sunrise on Second Restaurant...so yummy. And then headed over to Lowe's to spend our ling awaited house warming gift....A GRILL! Until recently we had been living in an apartment and grills were strictly forbidden, now we are in a house and I can't wait to cook up some yummy meat!
To end the weekend randomness, this little man frightened the Fluff out of me when I got in the car this morning! Thanks a lot!
So, I guess you could say the weekend was pretty eventful to say the least. This coming weekend we are headed to the ATL for a wedding! Excited to be leaving the state of Louisiana for a few days!
