Leading up to Joseph's baptism, Vince and I had been slaving away getting the house together in preparations for our company. We've been looking forward to this special day for a while now. Not only did Vince and I work hard at getting things ready, my mom was hard at work sewing Joseph's baptismal gown/jumper. Since we waited so long to have him baptized(normal Catholics have their newborns baptized right away) I knew my baptismal gown wouldn't fit this 9 month old so my mom and I came up with something different. It was absolutely beautiful. A little while romper that fit him perfectly. Having him wear something that my mom made, made this day even more special to us. It's something he will always have and can hand down to his children.
We had many visitors from all over including aunts and uncles from Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee! Joseph is truly blessed to have such an amazing family that would travel so far to spend this day with him.
More family pictures from the weekend to come...
